Jiná duha – Obrazy
Série obrazů Jiná duha vznikala souběžně se stejnojmennou prostorovou instalací a rozvíjí její základní princip v médiu malby. Vychází z práce s minerálními pigmenty, které byly používány také při realizaci veřejné intervence, a přenáší je na stará plátna nesoucí vlastní stopu času, opotřebení a paměti. Pigment zde není pouze nositelem barvy, ale stává se materiálem, který vytváří vrstvy připomínající sedimenty, geologické usazeniny nebo krajinné řezy. Stejně jako prostorová instalace pracuje i tato série s představou „jiného spektra“ – duhy, která se neobjevuje na obloze, ale vyrůstá z hmoty země. Malba se tak stává prostorem, kde se setkávají přírodní procesy, čas a proměna.
Jiná duha – Kresby
Současně se sérií obrazů Jiná duha vznikala také série kreseb, která zachycuje proces hledání místa, tvaru a atmosféry stejnojmenné prostorové instalace. Kresby propojují reálné krajinné motivy s imaginární architekturou a intuitivně vznikajícími obrazy, které se objevovaly během přípravy projektu. Teprve v průběhu samotné realizace byly archy ručního papíru přeneseny přímo do prostoru instalace, kde se staly její součástí. Barevné minerální pigmenty používané při tvorbě prostorové malby na jejich povrchu přirozeně ulpívaly, byly následně fixovány vodou a postupně se vpíjely do struktury papíru. Kresby tak nesou nejen imaginativní vrstvu projektu, ale také přímou fyzickou stopu jeho vzniku a stávají se samostatným otiskem procesu, z něhož Jiná duha vyrůstala.
Another Rainbow – Paintings
The Another Rainbow series was developed alongside the site-specific installation of the same name, extending its central concept through the medium of painting. It is based on the use of mineral pigments originally employed in the public intervention, here transferred onto old canvases that already bear their own traces of time, wear, and memory. Pigment is not merely a carrier of colour but becomes a material that forms layers reminiscent of sediments, geological deposits, and landscape strata. Like the spatial installation, this series explores the idea of “another spectrum”—a rainbow that does not appear in the sky but emerges from the substance of the earth. Painting thus becomes a space where natural processes, time, and transformation converge.
Another Rainbow – Drawings
Alongside the Another Rainbow painting series, a group of drawings was developed, recording the process of searching for the site, form, and atmosphere of the site-specific installation of the same name. The drawings combine real landscapes with imagined architectures and intuitive imagery that emerged during the development of the project. During the installation, the sheets of handmade paper were brought directly into the site and became part of the work itself. Mineral pigments used in the spatial painting naturally settled onto their surfaces, were then fixed with water, and gradually absorbed into the paper. The drawings therefore carry not only the imaginative dimension of the project but also its direct physical trace, becoming independent records of the process from which Another Rainbow evolved.
