Action at the Distance je cyklus prací na archivním papíře, v němž se motiv kruhu – sféry – stává myšlenkovou sondou do prostoru, kde se setkává fyzika, spekulace a metafora. Termín „působení na dálku“ v klasické mechanice označoval ovlivňování těles bez viditelného kontaktu. Zde však získává poetický význam: Síly, které nejsou vidět, určují strukturu světa. Kružnice se v sérii opakují jako tichá nebeská tělesa, ale také jako uzly nevyřčených vztahů, rezonancí a napětí. Barevně rozostřené, někdy přerušené či narušené tvary zaznamenávají skryté turbulence prostoru, kde je vše nestabilní, krásné a nebezpečně propojené. Grafické linie, průsaky a jemné eroze papíru připomínají, že i to, co se zdá geometricky přesné, je ve skutečnosti podrobeno neustálé interakci. Série tak reflektuje neviditelné vztahy mezi objekty, lidmi i epochami: to, jak věci působí jedna na druhou, i když mezi nimi zdánlivě nic není.
Action at a Distance is a series of works on archival paper in which the motif of the circle—the sphere—becomes a conceptual probe into the space where physics, speculation, and metaphor meet. In classical mechanics, the term “action at a distance” referred to the influence of bodies without visible contact. Here, however, it takes on a poetic meaning: forces that cannot be seen determine the structure of the world. Circles are repeated throughout the series like silent celestial bodies, but also like nodes of unspoken relationships, resonances, and tensions. Colorfully blurred, sometimes interrupted or disrupted shapes record the hidden turbulence of a space where everything is unstable, beautiful, and dangerously interconnected. Graphic lines, bleeds, and subtle erosions of the paper remind us that even what appears geometrically precise is in fact subject to constant interaction. The series thus reflects the invisible relationships between objects, people, and eras: how things affect each other even when there seems to be nothing between them.
